Minnerva have assisted MouchelParkman in developing a Public Transport model for Chelmsford, Essex.

The work has involved developing a database of the bus and rail services for the area using OmniTRANS, and to develop as set of Public Transport demand matrices to compliment those constructed for highway based trips to be used in a Paramics model.

The trip matrices have been constructed by taking passenger interview data from three different surveys conducted in the area and combining them into a unified data structure.

The Public Transport model is required to provide inputs into the TRL's Strategic Transport Model being developed for Chelmsford, as well as for developing accessibilty models using OmniTRANS.
