A significant component of
many projects involves basic processing of data. Minnerva has processed
data from a wide range of sources and with a variety of software.
Data processing can be interpreted
in different ways. In many cases, ingenious and effective use can
made of spreadsheets, but the ability to work with databases in
a programmatic way, linked to GIS and other systems greatly enhances
the scope of what can be achieved.
Minnerva have particular experience
in geocoding data, linking products such as AddressPoint (Ordnance
Survey), Address Manager (Royal Mail) and using Point-in-Polygon
processes in MapInfo to transform transport survey data from postcode
to transport modelling zone in an efficient and accurate manner.
